Although the amount of food they consume is amazing, the quality still takes precedence over quantity. It's great for visitors to KL, as it is easy to get good food and cheaper all the time. Cultural eating 24 hours means we can eat six to seven times each day.
The most popular way to start the day by eating bread is rolled, a smooth flat bread, served with curry sauce. This bread originally came from southern India, and is now widely found in restaurants mamak (Indian Muslim restaurant), food is hard to miss. Rolled bread has many variations, including serving with eggs, onions and bananas, but a simple rolled bread remains the most delicious.
Entering at 11, most people in KL are hungry again, and that's when Rice appears fat. Basic ingredients are rice cooked with coconut milk, served with boiled egg, cucumber slices, bleary fish, beans, and chili.
Exactly at 12.30 am all the workers put their working tools and went looking for lunch. Often, the lunch menu is white rice, which is equipped with a dish that had been prepared previously. Usually the food menu is divided in three different themes, themes Malay (with the main meal of meat and fish), China (with a lighter menu, not too spicy, and more vegetables) and Indian menu (spicy curries and pickles, mostly vegetarian).
Lunch menu is another common laksa, a spicy noodle served with various variations. Two types are most often found in KL is the curry laksa, which uses coconut milk, and sour laksa, which is dominated by a sour taste due to the use of tamarind.
Above 3 pm to 6 pm, the stalls have appeared around KL, selling various kinds of fried food. Two of the most widely offered food is curry puff (small pies containing meat or potatoes) and fried bananas. The purpose of this diet is to bridge a long time between lunch and dinner.
Starting from 7 pm, Chinese coffee shops scattered around KL. Usually they sell non-kosher food, with beer, they offer some of the best food in KL. Sometimes the best food served in restaurants with a dull appearance. Chinese cuisine dominates, although made with Malaysian characteristics, such as Char Kway Teow, Shahe with rich flavor. Besides using rice flour, and soy sauce and salt, Shahe it also uses many materials, including clams, shrimp, pork, eggs, and fish.
